There are also several traditions at The Renaissance Academy such as the Purple tie/Gold bowtie, the Donning of the Blazer, and annual college visits that serve to build bonds and strengthen ties among the students and their mentors. Thirty-four young men are currently enrolled in The Renaissance Academy. They are making positive personal strides while contributing to the region through community service efforts.
Our mission of cultivating a vision developed through, setting goals and creating productive lifestyles.
The Renaissance Academy is currently planning for the annual spring break college/cultural tour. This year, we will focus on colleges within the Charlotte, North Carolina area. During our tour, members will be inspired, enlightened, and encouraged to continue their educational endeavors until they reach the institute of their choice. We will have the unique opportunity to tour Movement Mortgage Inc., which has been noted as one of the fastest growing mortgage banks in the country. Exposure is the key to maximizing one's potential, and this year’s tour will create the opportunity to broaden the mindsets of our young men beyond the Roanoke Valley.
